More Poinciana Colour

I think this year has been an excellent one for the poinciana tree flowering display. This photo was at the entrance to the Botanical Gardens, and so beautifully framed by two beauty leaf trees [ which are actually on the opposite side of the road].

Just spectacular!

Hey there Peter,

Wonderful, peaceful blog you have here. Nice ruminations on the flora and fauna of the tropics.

Yeah, the flowers can really pop with their colors during the monsoon season. I've recently started using Lightroom 2--a fantastic tool for processing photos (especially RAW). Among its several cool features, it offers the ability to bump up (or down) luminance and saturation of specific colors in a photo (reds, greens, aquas etc). I imagine it'd do wonders for your photos of flowers.
